Dr. Steven R. Shrum, DVM
Dr. Steve Shrum, born in Charlotte, is a 1985 graduate of North Carolina State University and a 1989 graduate of NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in Kitty Hawk, NC, and Ocala, FL, he moved to the Upstate to open Holly Tree Animal Hospital in 1994. Dr. Shrum currently serves on the Board of Directors of Generations Group Homes and is a member of the Liberty Fellowship Class of 2009.
He is Past President of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, the Greater Greenville Veterinary Medical Association, the Greenville Animal Emergency Clinic Board of Directors, and the Greenville Breakfast Rotary Club. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Greenville Humane Society and was the Founding President of the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society. He and his family, wife Mandi, son Logan, and twin boys Ben & Nate, live with two dogs and two cats. They enjoy hiking and watching Wolfpack football and listening to live music. Dr. Shrum is a railroad enthusiast (along with the boys) and enjoys building rustic furniture. He can be seen on the second Friday of each month at noon on Channel Four's "Pet of the Week" feature for the Greenville Humane Society.

Dr. Jennifer Wallach, DVM
Dr. Jennifer Wallach was born in Atlanta, Georgia but spent her early childhood years on a horse farm in Eastaboga Alabama. She has always had a love and compassion for all animals. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a double major in English and Spanish. She also attended the Elemadrid School in Madrid, Spain receiving certification for intermediate conversational Spanish. This second language has proven to be helpful in exam rooms. At 32, Dr. Wallach began her first year at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine.
Upon graduation, Dr. Wallach joined a busy eight doctor practice in Birmingham, Alabama. There she was exposed to a high volume, diverse caseload that allowed her to grow very quickly as a new doctor. Her special interests are feline medicine as well as internal medicine and soft tissue surgery. She is proficient in diagnostics, including ultrasound and endoscopy.
Dr. Wallach is currently licensed in the states of Alabama and South Carolina. She is a member of the AVMA, ALVMA, GGVMA and the Feline Practitioners Association. She is very excited to join the Holly Tree Animal Hospital team! Dr. Wallach enjoys cooking, swing dancing, horror films and spending time with her small self-help group: Gracie (Chihuahua), Betty White (miniature poodle), Teddy (Pomeranian), Kitty Boo and Benny (the beta fish).
