Lauren Cowley, Certified Veterinary Assistant

Although we’ve known her for a while with the many pets of hers that we care for, Lauren just started with us in May 2022, after graduating with a certification in veterinary assisting. Lauren has been working in animal care for ten years and plans on going back to school to get her Veterinary Technician License. In her free time Lauren enjoys working out, spending time with friends and family and most importantly her pets.

Megan King, Certified Veterinary Assistant

Megan started November 2022; at that time, she was enrolled in Greenville Tech's Vet Assistant Program. She graduated December 2022 with her certificate in veterinary assisting. She is looking to continue her education by obtaining her associates degree in Veterinary Technologies and getting her license as a veterinary technician. Outside of work she has a Golden Retriever named Sadie and a cat Gouda. Her hobbies include working out and taking Sadie on walks. At the hospital you can find her in the kennels making sure your babies are getting plenty of exercise and love while they here with us.

Nathaniel Schmidt, Kennel Assistant

Nathan started at Holly Tree Animal Hospital spring 2022, returning to working with cats and dogs. He graduated from Clemson in 2019, and has worked a variety of jobs since, including academia. Deciding to take a step back from the high paced world of academia, Nathan has enjoyed working hands on with pets again. He has a broad range of interests including the ecology of wildlife, plants, and diseases, and has spent most his life in the upstate of South Carolina. His hobbies have including hiking/backpacking, sailing, canoeing/kayaking, reading, and tabletop games.
