First and foremost, we here at Holly Tree Animal Hospital hope that you, your family, and your pet(s) are remaining safe and healthy. The following are our recommendations during this time as well as the steps we are taking in order to continue offering the care your pets need while providing you and our staff a safe environment. We always keep our hospital clean and disinfected, and we have increased both the frequency and scope of these cleanings. We wash our hands before and after every patient, we will continue disinfecting treatment areas and floors regularly, and we will also make sure door knobs, pin pads, and chairs are disinfected between every interaction. Dr. Shrum, Dr. Pate, and our staff will avoid shaking hands and maintain as much social distancing as possible within our exam rooms and lobby.
For your pets’ visit: CURBSIDE SERVICES
• When you arrive in the parking lot please call the hospital lobby at 864.288.8908 to alert us that you have arrived for your appointment. You will be directed to meet your technician on the front porch for check-in.
• If you need to pick up food or medications for your pet, call us and we will be happy to take payment over the phone and have it ready for pick-up during our normal business hours. We can arrange shipping of food or prescriptions directly to your home through our online pharmacy at www.hollytreeah.vetsfirstchoice.com. If you need assistance setting this up for your pet, please call us.
We also have various ways to help care for your pets without an in-person appointment. If you are more comfortable dropping your pet off in the morning, our doctors will conduct their exams as drop-off patients, and we will contact you when they are ready for pick up. Please make sure we have a good contact phone number for while your pet is in our hospital. This is especially important if your pet is sick. We may need to reach you immediately regarding diagnostic testing, treatment plans, and medications. You may be speaking with one of our veterinary technicians during these phone calls, and our doctors will make every effort to contact you as soon as possible regarding your pet should you have further questions or wish to speak with them. Please understand that our doctors may take longer to call you back during this period, but they will do their best to be as timely as possible. It is important to remember that your pets cannot contract COVID-19. Dogs and cats can both get a coronavirus, but not this strain and there is no evidence that you are at risk from your pet, nor them from you should you be affected.
Our mission to enhance and promote the human-animal bond and to improve the health and welfare of the animals in our community is one we take very seriously. If at any time you have questions regarding your pets’ health, please reach out to us at 864.288.8908 or at hollytreeah@hotmail.com.
