Dr. Steve Shrum

Dr. Steve Shrum, born in Charlotte, is a 1985 graduate of North Carolina State University and a 1989 graduate of NC State College of Veterinary Medicine. After working in Kitty Hawk, NC, and Ocala, FL, he moved to the Upstate to open Holly Tree Animal Hospital in 1994. Dr. Shrum currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Greenville Humane Society and is a member of the Liberty Fellowship Class of 2009.

He is Past President of the South Carolina Association of Veterinarians, the Greater Greenville Veterinary Medical Association, the Greenville Animal Emergency Clinic Board of Directors and the Greenville Breakfast Rotary Club. He was the Founding President of the NCSU College of Veterinary Medicine Alumni Society. He and his family, fiancee Mandi, and stepson Logan, live with 2 dogs and 2 cats, and they enjoy hiking and watching Wolfpack football. Dr. Shrum is a railroad enthusiast (along with Logan) and a budding woodworker.

Dr. Julie Storm

Dr. Storm attended Texas A&M University for her undergraduate work, then moved north to attend veterinary school at Cornell University, where she graduated in 2006. She completed an internship in small animal medicine and surgery at Veterinary Specialists of Rochester, before fleeing the northern winters and moving to Greenville in 2007.

Dr. Storm is married to her high-school sweetheart and they share their home with two dogs, two cats, and many plants! Dr. Storm loves gardening, hiking, cooking, sailing, traveling, and yoga.

Dr. Suzie Powell

Dr. Suzie Powell is happy to be practicing veterinary medicine in her hometown of Greenville, SC. After receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at Furman University, Dr. Powell earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from NC State University in 2001. Her interests include wellness care and client education, and greyhounds hold a special place in her heart.

She has been married to her husband, Rob, since 1997 and has 2 beautiful daughters, Morgan and Madelyn. They share their home with 2 greyhounds and 1 cat. Outside the office, Dr. Powell enjoys running, swimming, and family trips to the mountains.
